Accordion Car
The Accordion Car uses a segmented, ribbed midsection — like an accordion’s bellows — that lets the chassis physically extend or retract. Retracted, it’s a compact two-seater that parks in a fraction of the space of a standard car; extended, the same vehicle stretches to carry more passengers or cargo.
The flexible midsection houses the suspension and drivetrain elements that let the wheelbase change length without losing structural rigidity, with the cabin’s shell and glazing stretching or compressing along with it.
